Assistant Cidermaker & Delivery Driver
Position Type: Hourly. 25-35 hrs/week. *Must be 21+ years old
Hourly Wage: Hourly. $18-22/hr depending on experience
Job Summary - Assistant Cidermaker
The Assistant Cidermaker position is directly responsible for Fermentation data collection, Cellaring and Packaging Operations. The candidate will bring energy and commitment to producing the highest quality craft Cider every day. Multi-tasking, meticulous cleaning, attention to detail and strong time management skills are crucial for this position.
Job Duties - Assistant Cidermaker
The Assistant Cidermaker responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures
Cleaning and sanitation of all process equipment
Transferring of cider to Brite Tanks including the use of Finings
Daily operation of filtration equipment
Fermentation data tracking including; Attenuation, pH, Temperature, Diacetyl / SOs monitoring, Sensory, Adjunct and other additions.
Yeast management
- Opem to innovation and engaged in process improvement
- Participation in taste panel work as directed
- Taking direction from Head Cider Maker and the ability to work independently
- Attend and participate constructively in meetings
- Contribute to positive work environment through open and constructiver dialogue
Carbonating ciders
Packaging according to production and sales needs
Thorough communication with The Operations Manager and Tap Room Manager
Management of supplies / inventory
Perform essential sensory and instrumentation assessments prior to packaging
Inspection of all kegs prior to filling
Assist on the canning line
Barrel Program assistance with monitoring including sensory and data tracking
Job Summary - Delivery Driver
The Delivery Driver position is directly responsible for the delivery of Lost Giants Cider products to our local and regional wholesale accounts as well as responsible for representing Lost Giants Cider Company and all its brands to any and all existing and potential customers. This position is also partially responsible to participate in onsite and off-site events, such as festivals and other pouring events.
Job Duties - Delivery Driver
The Delivery Driver responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Unload and stock accounts as ordered
- Being a super cool person and friendly to our customers
- Collect empty cooperage from accounts as necessary
- Assess customer tap and line conditions and resolve any issue
- Build and maintain positive relationships with accounts
- Collect money from accounts
- Complete all data entry logs correctly and in a timely manner
- Keep up to date on all maintenance and service on company vehicles
- Ensure vehicles are clean and orderly
- Ability to work additional and flexible hours as needed
- Work in tandem with the Manager to ensure all cooperage is stored appropriately
- General warehouse and grounds cleaning and organization
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms. Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to participate in critical assessment of Ciders.

Bartender
Position Type: Saturdays/Part Time/Hourly
Hourly Wage: Minimum Wage + Customer Tips
Job Summary
Job Duties
The Bartender’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greet customers and make them feel welcome. Use of the phrase “Thank You” is highly encouraged.
- Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
- Interact with customers and give a high level of customer service
- Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
- Take orders from customers
- Record drink orders accurately into POS system
- Serve snacks to customers
- Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion
- Attempt to limit problems related to customers’ excessive drinking
- Process transactions using the POS system
- Prepare & process checks for customers
- Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays
- Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas
- Clean and stock merchandise area as needed
- Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
- Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift
- Other duties as assigned
